Flower Flower
Flower Flower is an on-going series found in Yuri Hime S. Per season, a volume of Yuri Hime S will be published and Flower Flower is one of the many series found in that magazine. My favourites are Flower Flower, Konohana Link and Gretel but what makes Flower Flower interesting is due to its unconventional plot to being with.
Yuri Hime S Volume 1
Instead of the typical sempai-kouhai cliche yuri plot, it kick starts with the arrival of princess Nina from a foreign land to the country of Shinka. Originally, Princess Nina is supposed to marry the Crown Prince, Sei, who has a weird habit of cross dressing as a girl but she was turned off by his cross dressing habit. Hence, Princess Nina decides on her own accord to be betrothed to the Crown Prince’s sibling, Shurei (Shu for short), since that is her only other option.

But events don’t play out the way she expected since Shu is the most innocent and clueless character around while she is the meanie princess from hell Adingala. Worse, Nina is under the false impression that Shu is a guy since day one but Shu somehow manages to keep it a secret and get along with meanie Nina. Amidst the bitter-sweet romances, there’s also some palace conspiracy but they’re still unclear at this point of time.

I’ll leave the readers to savor those sweet moments but be prepare to smile as events can take a turn rather unexpectedly. I especially like the exaggerated expressions of Shu and some expressions are so hilarious that this series never fail to make me laugh as I never saw those coming. Give it a try if you’re looking for a hilarious yuri series of two princesses where everything started with a betrothed marriage.
