Manga no Tsukurikata Chapter 12-14

Chapters 12 to 14 are flashback chapters with a little mix of the present. It took some time for the story to develop to the point where Morishita realizes that she is in love with Asuka while zooming back and forth in narration. Overall, I feel that chapter 12 is a little boring and I’m disappointed with how it’s presented.

In chapter 12, Morishita is introduced to the term “yuri” by Asuka when she was working in the bookstore. While grasping the meaning behind the term, Asuka’s kindness subconsciously influenced Morishita’s emotions but the chapter then ends. Thus, I feel that the chapter does not has enough impact on the readers as everything is left hanging and nothing substantial is proven. It’s almost like a filler chapter is my opinion of chapter 12. Fortunately, the pace for chapter 13 and 14 picked up with things ending sweetly.

That’s it for chapter 12? Awww…I was expecting something more.

Chapter 13 continues from where the previous chapter left – at the bookstore. Morishita realizes what love is through Masato who blushes shyly when he’s behaving like a boy in love. Morishita then garners her courage to confess to Asuka in the bookstore, a scene that was mentioned in the previous chapters. I like how chapter 13 ties itself back to the current plot or situation, instead of just presenting itself as a flashback chapter that can stand independently.

Moving on to my favourite of the three would be chapter 14 not because it is the latest. Chapter 14 is a sweet chapter overall; where both Morishita and Asuka miss one another as they’re separated, busy with life. Asuka has to deal with a jealous prick brother while trying to figure her emotions. At the end of the chapter, I’m glad that Asuka has found some answer to her relationship with Morishita.

Manga no Tsukurikata is one of my favorite on-going yuri manga now. I totally dislike how Octave is progressing and Aoi Hana is still soooo boring. As for Sasameki Koto, I’m still waiting for the plot to return to the present, or best, zoom to the future instead of Ilostcounthowmanyaretherechapters of FLASHBACKS. I’m looking forward to the next few chapters of Manga no Tsukurikata and if possible purchasing the volumes should they become available in my region.

I’m only up to Chapter 8 of Manga no Tsukurikata, so it’s great to know there’re good things to look forward too. ^^

About Sasameki Koto, what flashbacks? I didn’t notice any while reading… or do you mean the latest raw chapters?

Manga no Tsukurikata won me over when the characters in Octave are facing a crisis. Hopefully you’ll enjoy reading the upcoming chapters. (:

I last read chapter 24 of Sasameki Koto and chapter 21-24 are flashbacks or focuses on a sub character (chapter 24 is on the male dude that cross dresses). I’m going to check for updates for new chapters later; haven’t been checking recently. Currently which chapter are you at?

Ah, that explains it. I’m only up to the latest scanlated chapter of Sasameki, chapter 16. My Japanese’s not quite up to scratch yet, but I’m already downloading the raws now. The prospect of more Ushio/Sumika cuteness is too much… (:

I haven’t given up on Octave yet, but yeah, I know what you mean. Yukino needs to grow up.
