Buffet at Orchard Hotel for Father’s Day, Class BBQ, Night at the Museum 2
2 for the price of 1 buffet at The Orchard Cafe (located in the Orchard Hotel) is definitely worth the penny. There is a good mix of salad, meat and dessert so that even vegetarians might be contented with the food there. I counted near 20 dishes of deserts and my sister almost fainted when she saw an overflowing chocolate fondue fountain with all you can eat marshmallow to its side.

The usual price is S$42 per person
There’s the BBQ section, seafood section, fruits, salad, meat and fish. I had curry chicken, samba chicken and BBQ chicken…to sum it up they have a good mix of meat. One of my favorite dishes is the sea cucumber cum mushroom dish.

The place to pick up food is not too cramp and the waitresses are all friendly and polite. They deserve full marks for the costumer service section.

There are only a few pots of soup and my choice was the cream of broccoli while my siblings had herbal chicken soup.
After hanging around the shopping malls for a few hours, I went over to Pasir Ris Park for my annual class outing. It has been terribly warm the last few days but the breeze at Pasir Ris Park was refreshing and relaxing. Though it was evening, there were still many families cycling, having a picnic and just chilling.

Pasir Ris Park was windy and relaxing that evening

Moar food! BBQ chicken and satays!
Special thanks for organizing such a memorable outing. It was nice catching up with you all! :-)
Unfortunately, I was down with a watery right eye the next day probably due to my contact lenses. The irritation continues even into my movie session and the whole movie experience was uncomfortable. With a watery right eye, I tried but couldn’t enjoy Night at the Museum 2 because it was mediocre. Worse, some of the jokes were so lame that they weren’t funny. I smiled but did not laugh out loud at most of them.

At best, it would deserve a 5/10 from me
It has become a habit of mine to not catch the first few installments and just jump into the latest bandwagon. First it was Underwold: Rise of the Lycans, then it was Terminator Salvation. Now, it’s Night at the Museum 2. Movies with sequels should have their sequels comprehensible for newbies like me and Night at the Museum 2 was too easy to follow. I get the general plot but could not grasp the friendship between characters because they’re relations brought over from the first movie. The movie is a good PG one but it is nothing memorable as it did not leave an impact after I left the cinema.
Just something out of the blue before ending off, I had cheese maki and milk tea for high tea.

Cheese Maki sold at Cold Storage KAP
