Kiss Yori Mo Hayaku Volume 3
I just bought volume 3 of Faster Than A Kiss from the manga shelves of Kinokuniya.
Is it only me or has the “sweetness” decreased?
Don’t get me wrong, the series is still romantic; Kazuma is still Fumino’s knight in shinning armor and he appears at the right place at the right time. However, volume 3 touches more on the family background of Kazuma instead. It explores his past and his relations with his family member with the introduction of his half-brother.
Kazuma’s half-brother then creates a whole load of drama and not to forget, misunderstandings, but his actions back fired and strengthened Kazuma and Fumino’s bonds. Somehow, the couple even managed to make Kazuma’s half-brother switched sides to become their ally.
Ryuu is still as comical as ever, though he plays a small role in this volume, and I wonder what happened to Retsu as he seems to have totally disappeared. But fret not, I read that Retsu will have more appearance in the next volume so be prepared to see more love match between the guys as they try to win the attention of Fumino.
Overall there’s improvement in both Kazuma and Fumino’s relationship though volume 3 is not as romantic or as sweet as the first 2 volumes. I wonder how things will play out now since there is an additional character that’s out to grasp both Kazuma and Fumino’s attention.
