Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou Episode 5-8

Guess what, I’m still trying to complete this series. Going at an episode per week, it’ll take me snail pace speed to finish it. A question I have would be, how many more episodes to go before I finish this series?

I thought that the weird looking shinigami guy (Tendo Kozunu) and his side kick little girl would be the main antagonists for this series but I was wrong, they got eliminated after a fight when the side kick girl did some fire attack that consumed the whole area. Also, instead of a full fledge team battle against Tendo Kazunu, we see more Hiyuu action while the others struggle with some psychological mind control thing.

Episode 5

In episode 5, a guy obsessed with his dead dog is introduced and he’s out for revenge. His specialty is murdering people in their dreams and that was exactly how he revenged his dog. Those who tormented his dog or him would fall into a coma and die soon enough. The gang is brought into the picture when Aoi suddenly collapses and refuses to awake. Being the goody goody character, Aoi is definitely not a bully and not a target for revenge. Instead, she became the dog owner’s love interest because she was compassionate enough to feed his dog in the past. Hence, he wants Aoi to stay with him in the dream world forever. O_o Seems like it doesn’t pay to be kind too.

Episode 6 & 7

I was expecting more usual monster hunt events before they hunt Tendo Kozunu but everything seems to be progressing rather quickly at this stage; they located the shinigami guy, defeats him, and move on. It’s as if the original feel that I had for the anime is lost. Where’s the horror factor? Where are THE ZOMBIES? They’re at stage boss after defeating a clueless minion? That’s too fast. However, when I’ve reached episode 8, it seems like I’ve guessed incorrectly. Tendo Kozunu and his side kick are not dead and they’re still around. They make a come back and Tendo Kozunu had a mini fighting session with Hiyuu again. Also, the original horror vibes of the show is back, the undead is murdering humans again.

Tendo is back! I thought he died.

Episode 8

This time, the random minion controls bees and is in dire need of a right arm. Victims will have holes everywhere, just like the hives of bees and their right arms would be missing, brutally ripped off. The gang is brought into the picture because the undead this time is after Sakurai’s archery arm. Episode 8 is rather horrifying with much gore, hives, holes, and beeeees. Again, we have some random minion ambushing a member of the gang. Before, it was Aoi, she was ambushed by someone she knew years back. Now, its Sakurai’s turn to be ambushed by someone she knew years back too. What a coincident!

What a mess!

I wonder who’s the final boss? What’s the gist of the plot? There are too many random coincident and old friends returning to become minions to haunt them. Tendo and that girl attack and escape at the end of every scene they’re in, which pretty much reminds me of Team Rocket from Pokemon, except that Team Rocket is lamer. Clearly we need a pro mastermind to spice up everything.

I’d answer your questions… If I still remember his series. Anyways, at the rate you’re going (considering there’s a second season), I guess this one’ll keep you occupied for a while =P
