Shoujo Sect ~Innocent Lovers~ 3rd Period

Shoujo Sect ~Innocent Lovers~ is an OVA hentai animation spun from an eromanga titled Shoujo Sect 「少女セクト」. It is unsuitable for minors or the sensitive and contains images and content that might cause discomfort to some.
Finally I’m at the last OVA and it’s better late than never. Again, I’ll be bringing in the manga whenever is possible and note that I’ve left out the more explicit images.

How was Valentine’s Day? Valentine’s Day was a frustrating one for me but I managed to let out some steam so all is well now. (:
Coincidentally, the characters are also celebrating Valentine’s Day in the 3rd OVA and jealousy is in the air. After the build up of tension and random sex scenes from the first 2 OVAs, the 3rd finally focuses on Momoko and Shinobu’s relation and bring the series to a conclusion.

Also lots of jealousy and unwanted drama amongst the girls.
It ends well but the OVAs still fell below my expectations.
Though the anime did a commendable job in developing Momoko and Shinobu’s relationship, their make out scene is a let down. Maybe because the series is flooded with so many random sex scenes that I expected something special coming from the protagonists sex scenes but the anime failed to deliver. It was mediocre, worse; I felt that some of the random sex scenes might even be more interesting to watch as compared to theirs. Why so you might ask? This, I blame the manga for having done a really great job.

My other disappointment stems from the selection of scenes. I felt that some unimportant scenes were included while those which will make an impact were left out. Knowing that it is impossible to pack everything from the manga into the OVAs, I still can’t help but feel disappointed when certain scenes were excluded.
It would have been great if the manga’s extra chapter II was packed into the OVA since it zooms to look into the future of Momoko, Shinobu, and Maya’s lives. The chapter is short, sweet and humorous.
Shinobu is working while Momoko is a college student studying law.
Momoko prepares a bentou for Shinobu + morning kiss from Shinobu.
Shinobu is well liked in the office.
Another that I would love to see would be the one titled “Day after Shoujo Sect” in the manga. Though it’s supposed to be an extra chapter, it peeks into Momoko’s new co-ed school life after her transfer. Also, there are some hawt roof top sex scenes between Kaori (Momoko’s new friend) and Sonoko (Kaori’s lover).

Well, you get the idea.
Overall the anime managed to cover significant events that involve Momoko and Shinobu well. Though so, I still prefer the manga version because I like the Kenn Kurogane’s style and art. The animated characters are ok to look at if you have something for colorful hairstyles and a wide range of voices (high, medium, low) but the manga is the one that will offer the complete plot.

I actually enjoyed Shoujo Sect. It’s a far cry from your typical H-anime, which just show one mindless sex scene after another. I can do without such crap.
But while Shoujo Sect is better than it other H-anime counterparts, the manga is still better, like you said.
