Ikkitousen Great Guardians Episode 11 & 12 – I’m So Glad That It’s Over

With Ikkitousen Great Guardians done, I’m left with 3 other series (Nijuu Mensou no Musume, Strike Witches and Koihime Musou) before I can start anticipating the soon to come series. Overall Ikkitousen Great Guardians did a terrific job in covering the mess that it has created by wrapping things up nicely. A quick run down followed by some random thoughts.

Episode 11

Basically Chuubou is a lie. She has been hiding her true identity from Hakufu and Koukin since episode 1 and now she discloses that she’s actually Koukin’s possible soon-to-be wife. I felt that I was an idiot after hearing this. I stupidly accepted Chuubou as Hakufu’s sister in episode when she came out of $%^& nowhere and now the producers decide to create some earth shaking revelations by cutting the blood ties between Hakufu and Chuubou.

Cool!

I actually enjoyed the action found in this episode. They’re finally fighting! I actually find it a coincidence that supposed to be dead characters like Moutoku actually returned and that Ouin actually put on his magenta to only take a blow from Ryofu. Though puzzled, I have learn to appreciate such ridiculous acts coming from Ikkitousen. Duh, what else can I expect from Ikkitousen GG? =_=”

Episode 12

I’m impressed with the way Ikkitousen Great Guardians end as I’ve to admit that the first half is rather exciting. I especially felt touched at the part where Ryofu “evaporated” away *sniff, rather touchy*. There are battles with warriors stepping up to help each other and the boss battle wraps up with girly self destructing herself into defeat. Overall, Ikkitousen Great Guardians wrap up on a positive note, returning much events to the status quo with Ryofu’s death.

Spirited away ~

If there’s to be a season 4, say “NO” to season 4 would be my stand. The first 3 seasons covered pretty much the different circumstances, from inter-school rivalry to mind controlling girly, and I can’t imagine another season of b00b exploding and nipple showing ridiculousness. Enough of the romance of the three kingdom plot, Ikkitousen Great Guardians is all about nipples flashing and the only relation it has with history was historical character names. =_=”

I’m still waiting for the next volume of Ikkitousen, till then I’ll re-read the manga to regain my confidence for this series.

Glad to see you’re not as angry as I am about the ending. Someone needs to at the very least tolerate this series despite it’s flaws. And someone else needs to bash it into oblivion
