Ikkitousen Great Guardians Episode 9 & 10 – Rubbish to the Core!
I hate episode 9, it’s a rubbish episode that proves that I have wasted my time following a series that will end off with a “happy ever after” note. Episode 10 is also another lame episode. We see Hakufu chasing after Ryofu (for almost half the episode) stupidly before she got mind controlled and attacked her friends for this episode. The most terrible of all is that I’ve followed Ikkitousen Great Guardians to episode 10 (almost ending) that it’s too late to drop it.
Episode 9
I always thought that girly was the ultimate evil character that everyone has to defeat for this season but Ikkitousen Great Guardians just made her another pitiful one. She’s pushing herself to mind control the others for her own selfish reasons and she seeks emotional support from side kick Ouin. For episode 9, the more important points to note is that 1) Girly’s real identity is actually Saji and 2) Girly has a traumatic past, so bad that she chose to close herself off from the world and to destroy the happy relationship.

Episode 10
Hakufu runs around town to look for Ryomou and she spots Ryofu on an overhead bridge and decides to approach her. It’s a frustrating process because no matter how MUCH SHE RUNS, she never seems to be able to catch up with a WALKING RYOFU. Worse, the whole “running scene” takes up about half the episode before Hakufu falls victim to girly. I was anticipating some cool battle moves but when Chuubou takes over the stage, it became a word battle instead.
When everything wraps up nicely towards the end, Chuubou is about to disclose something but while she’s in the midst of completing her sentence, the episode ends. WHAT A LAME WAY TO END AN EPISODE!!!
So… I should shift this from the “Maybe watch later” to the “rubbish that I’m never gonna touch without a 50 ft pole” pile?

Ya don’t watch this even if you have the time. I’m sure that there are others more worthy or mediocre series out there that deserve better attention than Ikkitousen Great Guardians!

Ive seen EP 11 and it doesnt get much better.Were gonna get a happyhappyjoyjoy ending for sure.The Ikki Tousen Anime was never Good but this season is downright awful.I need to start the Manga so that i can forget that this even happened.I found it interesting that Chuubo seems to have a special power that prevents her clothes from beeing ripped.When shes attacked by mindcontrolled Hakufu Cars and whatever get destroyed by the sheer power of her attack buther clothes dont even get a scratch :D

Yes this season is soooo bad that Ikkitousen is better off without it.

We should come up with a post on the “ridiculousness of Ikkitousen Great Guardians” and add in the point that you’ve made on Chuubou. This is to make ourselves feel better though we’ve finished catching this ridiculous season. I’m going to take a look at the manga again to regain my confidence in this series.
