Strike Witches Episode 6 – The Night Beauty
The lead for episode 6 is Sanya! Seeing that radar-like thing on her head at the start of the episode shocked me. I didn’t know that there’s “radar magic”. I wonder whether the other witches have any other undisclosed magic skills.

Major Sakamoto, Commander Minna and Yoshika are in a plane heading back to base and Sanya met them in midair to welcome them while she was night patrolling. However, she detected some Neuroi hiding amongst the clouds in the distance and was dispatched to distract it. Surprisingly the Neuroi never retaliated and she retreats safety.

Sanya’s striker unit and weapon looks so cool!
So the witches all cannot spot the Neuroi, it’s troubling. They decided to come up with menus that might aid them in improving their eyesight. The food sessions are becoming my favorite scenes for this series; especially for this episode. There’s so much fun as the various characters joke while at the dinning table.

Blue berries by Lynette.

After consuming blue berries, they compare tongue color!

Marigold tea brought to them by high class Pierrine.

Liver oil brought to them by Major Sakamoto.
Only Commander Minna appreciates the taste of liver oil though the others tried to psycho themselves into liking it but their facial expressions gave them away after tasting it. There’s fan service, or should I say, censored fan service?

Console yourself by repeating the below after me -
“This is an artistic way to present things.”

I actually like the night battle. The Neuroi that hid in the clouds actually created the opportunity for a beautiful night battle. Perhaps due to the darkness, special effects are brighter and that makes fighting in the clouds looks so cool. The night sky is not plain at all as there are stars and there are certain scenes where they’re accompanied by the Moon as the background.

Cloud battle!

Overall episode 6 is very “artistic” due to the beautiful backgrounds and soothing music. Sanya hymns, there’s a piano piece and there are other special background music for this episode. I especially like the piano piece that’s composed by Sanya’s father, it’s rather touchy and I feel at peace while listening to it especially towards the end of the battle where the Neuroi is destroyed. Besides, we get to see the witches doing night duty. The piano piece, accompanied by the serene night sky, upped the whole anime watching experience by a notch. Not forgetting the whole birthday occasion of not one, but 2 witches, ends episode 7 on a happy note ~♪

Night view of Earth from the sky is beautiful!

This episode felt a bit slower than the previous ones. Maybe it tried to follow Anya’s pace! ^_^

Its slower paced but I think its rather fitting with all those music in the background.
“, ends episode 7 on a happy note “?
episode 7 ?
Opps, its a mistake on my part; been thinking too much of the upcoming episode.
The show did look great but I was anticipating a better battle; Neuroi that learn as you fight them could’ve made for an interesting opponent.And Sanya can’t sing. At all. At least her loli form is cute
Piano was nice though.

Blueberries > Marigold Tea. And I can say this as a fan of tea! For if Francesca says so, it must be so.

@Omisyth
I hope that the Neuroi doesn’t become too smart at the end of everything or we might be seeing a tragedy at the end of season one.
@C.I.
I haven’t tried Marigold Tea before as all I’ve tried were Lipton milk tea (unhealthy choice) or Green tea. I want to try blueberries too. Ah…I’m hungry!
