Ikkitousen Great Guardians Episode 7 & 8 – Bye Bye Kan’u Unchou?
Just when I was about to throw in the towel and drop Ikkitousen Great Guardians, there’s finally some plot! The first 6 episodes are redundant as they only contribute by introducing characters like Ryofu, Chuubou and that cloaked girly antagonist. Also, I couldn’t actually properly review Ikkitousen GG because I couldn’t find the significance of each episode. Thus I just pointed out what’s fun for each episode. This time, episode 7 and 8 finally starts the plot rolling with a blast of unexpected surprises.
I see double – Ryofu cum girly combi O_o
Episode 7 is like the stepping stone to all the action found in episode 8. It starts with Ryofu being mind controlled by that cloaked girly and she meets Gentoku and Kan’u at the amusement park. There, Ryofu easily creates some misunderstanding between Kan’u and Gentoku so that the protective Kan’u would leave her master Gentoku alone for a moment. That moment was all that’s needed for the girly to mind control Ryofu to add Gentoku to her collection.
Ryofu is trying to mind control Gentoku but I’m disgusted with the way they present it. It looks like rape or violation of the body from every angle. Ain’t there other ways to present it? Not only did the girly succeed in mind controlling both Ryofu and Gentoku, she manages to cause some misunderstanding so that Ryomou would retreat into hiding.
By dumb luck, Sonsaku actually helps girly, who had overused her powers, when she fainted by the roadside. She brought her home but girly disappears at a speed faster than the wind. And with pure bad luck, Kan’u brings home a brain washed Gentoku, setting the stage for troubles in Seito for episode 8.
Allow me to use a word to describe the start of episode 8 – b00bs. Set in Seitou, there’s no lack of raw b00bs flashing around in the bath area. Ikkitousen Great Guardians is putting too much effort in the fan service arena. -_-” Seitou members are slowly disappearing one by one and their Gentoku is behaving out of the box. Starting from the smaller fries, girly controls Gentoku to mind control the others slowly.
Being the leader of Seitou helps since her victims believe in Gentoku as their leader and all were defenseless against her. Sending her controlled minions to go after Kan’u, Gentoku went for Koumei but Bashouku stopped her in time. She even demanded an explanation from the leader instead of fighting her immediately (leader bonus given).
Under the orders of Koumei, Bashouku escapes and make it to Nanyou to tell Hakufu and gang. This episode is an eye opener. Gentoku has always been a book worm and would rather bury herself with books than fight. What are her chances of fighting Hakufu when they’re buddies? It’ll never happen if not for girly mind controlling her. Though the match is short, we at least get to see the 2 leaders exchanging a few blows.
Kan’u in a 4 vs 1 battle where she’s out numbered.
Shiryuu almost got her.
Ekitouku and Kuchuu chased her around.
Not forgetting, a voluptuous looking Gentoku who’s watching.
The only one who hasn’t fallen to girly’s mind control would be Kan’u and she has been fighting and hiding since the night before. Before Gentoku can stab Hakufu, Kan’u jumps in to take the blow for the Nanyou leader. Kan’u tries with all her might to “touch” the real Gentoku and to encourage her to regain control of herself.
Gentoku tries to stab Sonsaku.
But Kan’u jumps in and gets stab instead.
They remain in that position till the Sun sets and that’s when Kan’u decides to break the hold and to aggregate her wound by hugging Gentoku.
Kan’u tries to bring Gentoku back by {Insert encouraging emo words here}
Kan’u health decreases at an accelerating rate.
Gentoku is back!
Hp – 0/100 (K.O)
Girly loses!
Relax, Kan’u will be back soon enough. (:

I still wonder what kind of Genjutsu shes using to control the peoples bodys.Raping,Fondling breasts,Kissing and (insert any other fanservice) seems to work.Its quite sad that they try to catch audience with this whole girl on girl action.I mean im not against fanservice but this season is quite ridiculous in that department.I still enjoyed these 2 Episodes though,since something with significance happened after all!Im finally anticipating the next episode^^You mentioned that you have read all Manga Volumes up to now.Is this season faithful to the manga or are they taking 2 different directions?
There is no way Kan-u’s dead…. Please? ;_;Anyway, there were nipples EVERYWHERE in episode 8, so much so that it was laughable.

Ya! What silly Genjutsu skill is that girly using!
This season is not faithful to the manga at all. Ryofu, who dies in volume 5 (I think), remains a dead character and there was no dead apparition of her wandering around like what Ikkitousen GG is doing now. The anime takes a little idea from the manga; like Ryomou meeting and training with that small figure in episode 8 but nothing like girly controlling everyone in Seitou happened before in the manga.

Hopefully she’ll recover by the next few episodes so that we can see more Kan’u action. The start of episode 8 says it all! Nippes are flashed everywhere; they putting in lots of effort in the fan service areana.
