Nijuu Mensou no Musume Episode 12-14
Reviewing 3 episodes at a time again, I’ll briefly summarize and state my thoughts for each episode. Though mysterious, it gives off the “David Copperfield” vibes. We have an antagonist that is capable of inhuman stunts and can shoot out both hands as weapons. We also have characters that are capable of doing magic acts like disappearing and appearing at will. Just what is happening? For a detailed episode review, check out Omisyth’s blog, he has done a great job. (:

Episode 12
After wandering around in the rain for days, Chiko received a note from the white haired enemy and they have a show down, which is the focus of this episode. I was shocked! The white haired person is actually a woman and Twenty Faces is actually still alive. I got tricked and believed that Tome-san was turned into a statue because the statue bleeds when its head broke. I also never expected Akine-san to be Twenty Faces. I understand that the antagonist is not 100% human since she can perform unnatural moves but to appear and disappear in a blink reminds me of a phantom instead.

Tome-san!!!
Episode 13
This series never fail to surprise me. The character, Akechi, actually exists and Twenty Faces merely stole his identity for the previous episode. I won’t be shocked if the band of thieves suddenly revive and appear at the end of everything. I find it amazing that Twenty Faces actually have the charm to make both adult (white haired lady) and kid (Chiko) fight over him. Why exactly is the white haired character attacking Chiko? Jealous I tell ya! She’s jealous of the attention Chiko is receiving from Twenty Faces! From the point of view of Twenty Faces, he thinks that it’s some unfinished business of a war but from the point of view of that white haired woman, it’s all about love and betrayal. XD

I actually felt sad for the white haired character at the end of this episode but she at least got what she wanted. She would have been a rather cool character if Twenty Faces didn’t abandon her way back.

I felt like crying with her too. Twenty Faces, you’re a jerk!!!
Episode 14
There’s no end to surprises for this series. Remember the people spilling blood from their mouths for the previous episode? The white haired lady actually did not poison them and they’re merely unconscious, so much for the drama with blood spilling all over. Now we’re faced with an airship filled with explosives and a ship full of innocents. The highlights for this episode would be where Ken and Chiko try to crash safely and them escaping from the crushed airship.

Tome-san is a great buddy indeed! She actually confronts Chiko’s aunt regarding the pills and stood up to her employer. Finally she gains the special privilege to serve and protect Chiko. The aunt doesn’t look happy and there’s room for future house drama. The aunt can now target them both now instead of only picking on Chiko.

So… we can expect Chiko’s aunt to come up with more lame ways to try to off them? The last attempt, besides the typical poisoned soup, was her trying to shove Chiko off the boat… which failed miserably and actually strengthened her resolve to live to find “20 Faces”.
FFVIIKnights last blog post..Hoshi no Koe – Chapter 3
lol Can tell that you are getting into the National Day spirit, Hyn. That song brought a laugh.

@FFVIIKnight
The lamest method was the flower pot attack that missed. We need a more pro antagonist like Joker in The Dark Knight to appear for this series. ^_^
@Stifler
Yeah National Day is coming! Hurray!
*hops around*
I think I am stuck at 13 since I have no idea how to watch raws.Also, I came!
Tome’s pretty rad, I can’t wait until her self-imposed mission to protect Chiko leads her to train to be an über-maid under Kogarashi.
