Renovation Is Almost Complete
Dropped by my home yesterday and moved some furniture around before meeting up with pp for lunch. pp, have a safe and enjoyable trip dude! :p
What a big difference though only a week has passed. Thumbs up to the contractor and her team. Updates with regards to my room below.
My Room Status
Floor tiles are ready, walls & ceiling are nicely painted. Currently random furniture are placed in my room due to painting and renovation still on-going in the other room and store room.
Painter worked on the house for the whole Sunday and all is completed by the evening. I’m unsure whether there will be a 2nd coat of paint but all this needs clarification the coming week. The walls, ceilings, and floor tiles of all rooms are all when I dropped by again in the evening.
Kitchen
The floor & wall tiles of the kitchen are ready but the kitchen cabinets will take some time. The kitchen cabinets should be done in 2 weeks time given that the contractor came only to view the place last Thursday.
Kitchen Toilet
Ok, my kitchen toilet needs a door. Also requires some drilling for towels to hang.
Rubbish Chute
I have an awesome pink rubbish chute that I can click it tightly shut so that cockroaches and pests cannot enter.
Mirror mirror on the wall?
As I’m into dancing, I actually wanted a mirror in my room. After much thought, I’ll be asking a quote from the contractor and looking at available mirrors in outlets before deciding. My intention is to get a mirror that is at least 2m by 2m and to place it in an area of my room. I’m also trying to figure where to place/in-built the mirror and how big it should be. By far, I have 2 options – Wall A or Wall B.
Wall A
Wall A looks good but to the most left is the door, which the photo fails to capture. Hence, I’m thinking of mirroring right-half the wall…leaving the left side without mirrors as the door is nearby.
Wall B
I’m unsure whether Wall B will be a good choice but if I were to mirror it, I would mirror the right half of Wall B. I’m also considering the left-half but no concrete decision yet.
Wall B (Right-half)
Yup, a more focus of Wall B right-half area that I’m considering whether to inbuilt mirrors.
I don’t want my room to turn into some dance studio and even if I’d love my room to be dance studio style, I need to think of my bed and wardrobe too.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Both toilets have no door.
Floor tiles of storeroom not done.

Some switch boxes not changed yet.
Some switch boxes badly done & need to be redone.
To do list after renovations:
Shift furniture to their proper place.
Get curtains for all rooms & living room.
Clean the place.
Gather my stuff & shift back.
Design & in-built mirror in my room.
Design & buy more furniture for my room.
House warming.
Personal reminder:
I need a bed.
I need a wardrobe.
A stereo would be good.
A measuring tape is needed.
A specialized table (laptop size) that can extend upwards & downwards would be good.
Visit IKEA, COURTS, & etc for ideas.
Research on mirrors; cost, length, etc.
Renovations & kitchen cabinet to be completed latest by 1st week of July.
Shifting, cleaning and furniture shopping to commence in July.
I can smell the house almost ready! :p
Toilet doors are priority. :)
Hey, I used to have that same cupboard! The one with the guy and the cat on one side, and the girl on the other door.

Such co-incidence! However, I’m only temporary using that wardrobe for now. Planning to get a newer one after renovations are over.
