Dance in the Vampire Bund Episode 1

Chinese New Year house visiting only starts today, on the 2nd day for me. Hence, I’ve spent half my day catching up on anime. It’s actually quite refreshing to catch anime again after shutting myself away for months. I even found a few enjoyable series and got to marathon them.
While manga hunting at Kinokuniya Japanese manga section, I chanced upon the raw version of Dance in the Vampire Bund and noticed an advertisement slip that promoted its anime version. Thus I was pretty curious as to how the anime would turn out because I’m a fan of the manga and have collected till volume 6 so far.
And hence I caught the 1st episode and was bored to tears. 3/4 of episode 1 is so boring that I played facebook applications while waiting for the 1/4 more mediocre scenes to arrive. Probably because I’m not a talk show fan, I don’t appreciate episode 1 because it was presented talk show style where anime characters were interviewed on the existence of vampires.
Episode 1 is boring. Even scenes where the enemy transformed to take on a hideous form and massacred everyone in the studio did not spice up the episode. Perhaps I’ll catch a few more episodes before deciding whether to follow the whole series.
Alright, enough of my negative feedback, time for some 红包 collecting. (:
Ahaha. I thought it was alright. You don’t see many series starting off the first episode with a talk show, so it was a breath of fresh air. Trust SHAFT to come up with something like this.
