AFA’09 – Anime Festival Asia 2009
Went to AFA’09 with a friend last Saturday evening and it wasn’t as crowded as what I thought since everyone was queuing to enter the concert. Just some brief recount and some photos to share with all.

Hello Kitty Gashapon!
The single place where I spent money that night was at the Gashapon section. Frankly, I never tried my luck at the Gashapon machine more than once before because I know that they’re gimmicks. However just for thrill, I actually spent $12 on a single Hello Kitty Gashapon machine that night. With $3 per try, I managed to get 2 Hello Kitty key chains while the other 2 are animal character key chains that I suspect to be either Kitty’s friends or pets.
The other section where I lingered was Extravaganza. Saw some jaw dropping pieces but I won’t be posting any of the photos. It’s just too bad that you folks out there didn’t get to them. :-)
Maria-sama ga Miteru’s Chibi Yumi
Does the chibi drawing above rings a bell? I didn’t know that the manga artist of MSGM held autograph sessions that Sat or I would have gotten one! In fact, I didn’t even know that the manga artist was holding an autograph session! C’mon why isn’t it advertised?
There was even a stand selling 2nd hand manga. I was so tempted to get that 1st volume of Gunslinger Girls but I manage to hold back.

Missed you on AFA hyn x3 But then again I don’t really see much of any people that I recognize… xD and lol gashapon, I never know why people like to spend money on them, apparently my class mates were there and spending money on gashapon as well.. haha

Yoo Stifler! Yup, I met up with Noelle for AFA. Actually wanted to meet up with another Onemanga friend too but he wasn’t able to make it.
