Cafe World is the hottest Facebook game on my list now and it might be the hottest Facebook game for everyone else too. I decided to give the game a try when Caitlin sent the game application invite and when I checked then, there were only the 3 of us playing. Now, I have more than 20 Facebook friends with this game application.

Zynga’s Cafe World

Some might feel that Cafe World resembles Restaurant City but it is different in many ways. Caitlin and I were commenting on the differences on Facebook and I had to agree with what she mentioned, that Restaurant City is more “employee management”. In Cafe World I actually get to manage and monitor the food served.

The challenging aspect for Cafe World is to ensure that there’s food for customers all day round. That requires good planning since I have limited time for games. Furthermore, dishes go bad once they’re left on the stove for too long and each dish has limited number of servings. There are also some dishes with little profit and long cook time while there are some with difficult to grasp cooking hours. Take for example, the Spaghetti and Meatballs dish. It requires 8 hours of cook time but since I’m mostly online in the morning or night, it’s impossible for me to serve it on weekdays. Hence, I go for chickens (24 hrs cook time) or turnkeys (48 hrs cook time)  instead because it’s more convenient for me.

I’ve noticed the changes in my Cafe World Buzz Rating but my jaws dropped when it actually went over 100 and hit 105.

My current observation is that the highest buzz rating is 105 since it has not been increasing though I’ve received many thumbs up after. I’ll be sticking to Cafe World for a while till a better Facebook application beats it. (;
